This process involves freedom and discipline working together to allow the spirit to function. The greatest joy comes when a painting takes on its own wings. In a fleeting moment it moves outside my control; I become a conduit. My desire is to be open to sensations and to express these visually, with spontaneity and confidence. The images are quickly absorbed, what remains is the living "being" of a work of art. For me, color is not color until it arrives at a degree of resonance which can be heard. My way is intuitive; life furnishes the raw materials with all it's chaotic profusion. When the viewer connects with my work I feel a deep sense of completion. |
